Welcome to 2393 Park Place

2393 Park Place Condominium Homes are located on the historic site of the Leadbetter House built in l891 at the entrance to Washington Park. In the early 50's the house was donated to the Oregon Historical Society who attempted to keep it open as a tourist destination. The high cost of maintaining this elegant dwelling forced OHS to sell the house to the Hoffman Construction Family. They then tore it down and built a 3 story, 35 unit apartment building in l959. In l975 the apartments were converted to condominiums and remain as such to this day.

"I think of it as living in Manhattan on Central Park West or 5th avenue with Central Park as the backyard." We get all the birds and wildlife of the Park; the trees are decades old. In fact we have l00 year old historic tree in our garden next to the swimming pool.  It's an elegant lifestyle so close to the city. Many residents walk to town often or use the bus or Max line.

There are several historic mansions on Park Place. Some are now offices closer to the MAC Club, but some are still maintained as private residences. Across the street is the original Banfield (Hwy. 84) estate which is lived in by a Portland developer and art collector.
